A lover of whimsy, odd couples, underdogs and awkward humor.

Jonathan Fournier is a disabled Montreal writer for film and TV. Notable works include the award-nominated comedy web series, UNICORN INCLUDED, in which he also stars (and is working on a half-hour adaptation for). Recently, Jonathan completed a stint as a writer on disability-focused satirical news show, THE SQUEAKY WHEEL: CANADA. Jonathan is currently working on a diverse slate of TV and film projects.
Active in Montreal’s English language theatre community since 2010, Jonathan has also written and produced independent shows at various local festivals, including the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival and the ShortStanding Festival. An academic at heart, he has earned a Story Analysis certification from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and holds a degree in communication studies from Concordia University. Above all, Jonathan is a great team player and just as funny as he is short.

"A satirical, half-hour news format poking fun at the ableist society people with disabilities face every day." - I was proud to join the writing team for the second season of this bold program, which released in July and August of 2026. I wrote a variety of headlines and skits that were sprinkled throughout all episodes.
Unicorn Included is a short-form comedy web series, following a guy named Jonathan and a unicorn named... Unicorn as they navigate life together, leading to hilarious hijinks in 3-6 minute shorts. This innovative series was featured at the 2020 Seoul Webfest, where it received nominations for Best Creator and Best Sketch Comedy.
This full sitcom pilot adaptation of the comedy web series expands on its narrative, offering a much more comprehensive story. In this half-hour comedy series, a disabled man navigates the challenges of being a new homeowner, aided by his reluctant roommate: a lazy, sarcastic unicorn who came with the condo and refuses to leave. It's 'The Odd Couple' meets 'Bojack Horseman'!
A reclusive family caregiver and a surly nurse turned Christmas gift wrapper cross paths at the local mall. As they navigate their social anxieties, can they embrace the chance on love they both desperately need? This awkward holiday rom-com explores the journey of discovering what you truly want in life while learning to trust others. There's also nosey elves and a funny mall cop!
